Tips
Optimizing your Bridal Session

Bridal sessions make wonderful test runs. You get to see everything put together prior to the wedding day. You will want to consider hair, veil, make-up, jewelry, shoes, undergarment (for lines), and possibly a bouquet. Because it is a day that involves some planning, we have some tips below....
SCHEDULING:
To have a print available in time for the wedding, we would need at least a two month lag time to assure the best framed image. More time will be needed if used for announcements. Weather is always a factor in Charleston - hot or cold. For the best light, we would start 2 hours before sunset or right at sunrise; the location may determine time of day. Weekdays are best.
TIPS:
If you are planning on getting a haircut/ hair coloring, tanning, or anything that alters your appearance, 2 weeks out is a good rule of thumb. Consider tan lines and think about if your sunglasses will leave marks on your nose the day of the portrait.
LOCATION:
Our sessions generally include a little stroll to get a variety of backgrounds. If you are from out of town, give us a few key words and we can help steer you in the right direction. Please let us know if you have a special Charleston location that you would prefer. Many of the Houses and Grounds have additional charges for using facilities such as Boone Hall, Riveria Theatre, William Aiken House, Lowdnes Grove and many others.
